Isabell has dedicated her professional career to family law, having practiced exclusively in this area since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2009. She studied International Relations and Political Science at Trinity College at the University of Toronto and attended law school at the University of Windsor, where she focused her studies on family law and alternative dispute resolution. Isabell discovered her interest in family law as a student working at the Ontario Court of Justice where she gained invaluable mentoring and first-hand experience of the family law justice system.
Isabell completed her articles at a national full-service law firm and has had the privilege of working with and learning from highly distinguished family lawyers on complex financial matters. Isabell’s family law practice includes litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Isabell’s clients benefit from her practical approach to resolving family law disputes in a calm and sensitive manner.
Isabell is the former Secretary of the Ontario Bar Association’s Executive Family Law Committee and Editor and contributor to Matrimonial Affairs Magazine. Isabell has co-authored papers for the Ontario Bar Association and has presented at Continuing Professional Development events at the Ontario Bar Association. Isabell is engaged with the Collaborative legal community as a member of Collaborative Divorce Toronto and member of a small collaborative practice group.
Isabell is fluent in Polish and continues to be involved with her alma mater, Trinity College at the University of Toronto where she is a member of the Corporation of Trinity College. After hours, Isabell devotes her time to her young family – she is a proud swim parent who is quickly and unexpectedly(!) gaining a deep knowledge of competitive swimming with hours spent volunteering on deck at swim meets as a stroke judge and inspector of turns. Isabell loves to plan travel adventures, cook, read current events and share daily New Yorker cartoons with her friends, family and colleagues.
